Ben Parker has backed Leeds United winger Raphinha to make his first start for the club against Arsenal next week.
The LUTV pundit was impressed with the Brazilian after he came off the bench in the 4-1 defeat against Crystal Palace last time out.
Marcelo Bielsa will have a choice to make as the Whites look to end their two-game losing streak in the Premier League.
Parker has claimed that he will be pushing to start, with Helder Costa being dragged off at half-time for him at Selhurst Park.
“Raphinha was a player who came on at half-time,” he said on LUTV.
“I thought he was really sharp, really impressed by him, so he’ll be pushing to start the next game after the international break.”
The Brazilian has come off the bench in three games since arriving from Rennes and will have had more time to settle at Thorp Arch during the international break.
Raphinha has definitely caught our eye with his little cameos.
From his defence-splitting ball at Aston Villa to his near-amazing free-kick against Palace last week, and he definitely has shown more than enough to earn a start.
With a big game against Arsenal coming up, Bielsa has plenty of decisions to make in the build-up as he looks to get back on track.
The 23-year-old completed 17 of his 19 passes against Palace, and also two progressive runs according to WyScout. Impressively, he also made two interceptions – showing he can do the dirty side well too.
Costa and Jack Harrison both struggled against Palace, and it would be no surprise if one was to drop out at Elland Road next week.
