Jack Clarke has never quite hit the heights since leaving Leeds United to join Tottenham nearly three years ago.
The young winger left Elland Road, but has yet to succeed in the Premier League, and has been loaned out twice from Spurs.
After failing at Queens Park Rangers last season, Clarke has since been given the chance to join Stoke City this week back in the Championship.
Clarke announced the news on his personal Instagram account on Thursday evening, and some Leeds players have instantly reacted.
Luke Ayling, Tyler Roberts and Liam Cooper have delivered messages, all wishing their former teammate the best of luck with the Potteries.
Clarke has stayed in close contact with his former teammates, and there constant messages of support prove they know what he is capable of.
This loan move is just another example to us that Leeds have pulled off a transfer masterclass by letting the youngster leave when they did.
Spurs spent almost £10million on the 19-year-old back in 2018, and he has yet to prove that it was money well spent.
Clarke has only ever made 29 appearances in the Championship and is yet to make his debut in the Premier League, Leeds spent less on Patrick Bamford for comparison.
Yes, this could definitely turn into money well spent in the future, but with another loan move at Stoke to complete, it will some years before that.
Instead, Leeds have moved on and have signed the likes of Raphinha and Rodrigo, possibly showing Tottenham how it is done in the transfer window.
