Luke Ayling may leave Leeds United in the summer after recent Fabrizio Romano update
Luke Ayling may end up leaving Leeds United at the end of the season with Fabrizio Romano’s recent update on Cody Drameh.
Before the 21-year-old was loaned out to Luton Town, the Sky Sports Italy journalist reported that Jesse Marsch sees him as a part of his plans for the 2023/24 campaign.
With 18 months left on his deal, there was speculation about the Whites looking to permanently sell the defender this month.
Via Twitter, Romano wrote, “Cody Drameh, on his way to medical tests as new Luton Town player — as loan deal from Leeds United will be completed today. No clauses included, Drameh will be back in the summer as Marsch wants him to be part of Leeds 23/24 squad.”
Drameh has found game time hard to come by this season due to Rasmus Kristensen’s arrival and Ayling being his backup.
Now, Ayling’s made that role his own but he is on the wrong side of 30 and is not the same player that he once was.
His body also appears to be catching up with him and that’s natural for players in the twilight of their careers.

If Drameh is a part of Marsch’s plans, it perhaps means that Ayling isn’t and there’s a good chance he could be sold in the summer.
Bill, as he’s known by the Whites fanbase, is loved in and around Elland Road and it’ll be an emotional farewell whenever he parts ways with the club.
Given his legend at Leeds United, we’re sure that an announcement will be made prior to the end of the season so he gets the perfect send-off he so thoroughly deserves.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites appear to be on the cusp of another January signing as a player’s agent jets into the United Kingdom to conduct final transfer talks.
