Luis Sinisterra to be snubbed by Javi Gracia at Leeds United - Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes Luis Sinisterra will have to settle for an “impact sub” role under Javi Gracia for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.
The Colombian was sidelined for four matches with a muscular injury he sustained during the 2-2 draw against Manchester United.
Despite making a positive impact since his arrival, Robinson doesn’t think the 23-year-old will be a regular starter after returning to the matchday squad against Brighton and Hove Albion.
“I think he [Sinisterra] is going to be used as an impact sub between now and the end of the season which he has been at the moment,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“McKennie and Gnonto are the two who should be coming into the side and playing regularly. It’s hard with the system, with it being the same as the previous manager. Gnonto has to come in and you look at the midfield, would I play Aaronson?

“You could maybe bring Rodrigo in and play him slightly deeper but I don’t think that is going to happen because the manager won’t change the system.”
Sinisterra managed five goal contributions in 13 matches for the Yorkshire side in what was a productive early part of the season.
The winger will be hoping to put his injury issues behind him and make a positive impact on Leeds’ bid to avoid relegation to the Championship.
In other Leeds United news, the club are set to finalise a first-team transfer this month with negotiations over a contract ongoing.
