Luis Sinisterra drops hint he’s set for Leeds United stay in social media video

Leeds United fans will be delighted to see winger Luis Sinisterra could be staying at Elland Road after he dropped a hint in a video posted on social media.

The Colombia international has been linked with a move away from West Yorkshire this summer following the Whites’ relegation to the Championship [TuttoMercatoWeb].

But the 24-year-old has now appeared in an official club video posted on TikTok on 2 August, where he revealed his aim for the upcoming season was to help Leeds gain promotion back to the Premier League.

This is really positive news for Whites fans to see the winger featuring in an official club video as, unlike a number of the other players that signed last summer, it suggests he isn’t on his way out of Elland Road.

Sinisterra expressed in the clip that he is looking forward to the first game of the season and to seeing the fans when his side hosts Cardiff City at home on 6 August.

The Colombian is clearly focused on helping the Whites regain promotion back to the Premier League after he seemed to be more than happy to feature in the video.

That will have gained him a lot more respect than some of his teammates from the last campaign, with Robin Koch, Max Wober, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Rodrigo all deciding to jump ship after failing to keep the club in the top flight.

The winger spent much of the campaign sidelined through injury following his move to Elland Road from Feyenoord for a reported £21.4million fee a year ago, but he still managed to register seven goals in 22 appearances.

Having proved that he can compete in the Premier League after a number of promising performances last season, he will be keen to add to those figures and play a key role in the Whites’ promotion bid.

The fact Leeds have been looking to recoup the majority of the money they spent on the forward has probably put off a number of potential suitors so far this summer.

But the club certainly won’t mind there being little interest in signing him and they will be delighted to see he’s up for the fight as Daniel Farke aims to challenge at the top end of the Championship when the season gets underway.

In other Leeds United news, Willy Gnonto has made an admission about his proposed move to Everton this summer.
