Leeds United could be handed a massive boost over the fitness of Kalvin Phillips ahead of the Premier League clash with Arsenal.

The Yorkshire Pirlo has been doing plenty of media during the international break, as he continues his recovery at Thorp Arch.

His interview with the Times caught the eye of many, as Phillips opened up on his childhood and his rise to the top with the Whites.

Plenty of photos were taken to occupy Phillips' interview, and he has started to share some on his personal Instagram account.

The latest one was him at Thorp Arch, posing next to the famous Billy Bremner quote "side before self, every time" - something that has followed Leeds in recent times.

Rio Ferdinand has reacted to the post, sending the midfielder a message in the comments, sharing his excitement.

"Love this," he simply wrote.

Phillips' stardom has certainly risen since the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.

El Loco transformed the 24-year-old into one of England's best holding midfielders, despite him loving to attack before he arrived.

In the space of three years, Phillips has won the Championship, earned his England call-up, and established himself as one of the Premier League's best.

Leeds have missed Phillips massively since he was out, conceding eight goals in the following three games.

The Whites have missed their main-man, and hopefully, the international break has given him the chance to full return against Arsenal - fingers crossed.
