Liverpool duo Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota ruled out for Leeds United clash
Liverpool duo Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota have been ruled out for the Leeds United clash by manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds are set to take on the Whites in the Premier League on Wednesday (February 23) as they look to close the gap on leaders Manchester City.
However, they will have to do so without the attacking duo of Jota and Firmino.
“For tomorrow, no chance. Then we will see,” Klopp said when asked about the two.
“It would be easy to say ‘no’ now, but we will see. They were not on the pitch for training, which is not a good sign.”
This is a massive boost for Leeds as two of their fabled four attackers will be missing the game.

While Mo Salah has the ability to turn things around singlehandedly, he does require assistance from his attacking partners.
For example, Firmino’s mobility sees him vacate space that Salah runs into which helps him find the back of the net.
Jota, on the other hand, is an equally mobile player, but also has an end product that makes him a goal-scoring threat.
Whoever comes in for the injured duo will be a major downgrade and this is something Leeds should capitalise on.
Marcelo Bielsa would have a plan to deal with the likes of Salah and Sadio Mane and hopefully, the Whites can cause Liverpool some trouble by playing on the counter.
