Leeds United defender Liam Cooper has teased the release of the Whites’ away and third kits.
Andrea Radrizzani sealed a record-breaking deal with Adidas over the summer, with the club selling an unprecedented amount of home shirts.
With two weeks to go until the opening Premier League clash against Liverpool, Leeds are yet to show two of their strips for next season.
Cooper has seen both during filming for their releases and admitted that he believes the fans will love both the away and third kits.
“It is lovely, yes, it’s nice,” he said via Leeds Live.
“I am sure it will be a hit with the fans. I don’t know if they have seen the away one yet but I really like the away one as well, and the third one is lovely as well.”
If those two strips are anything like the home kit, there will be pandemonium around Elland Road, with the fans going crazy for the three stripes.
This week saw the leaked image of Ezgjan Alioski in the away strip at Thorp Arch, and it was exactly what we expected.
Adidas have gone for the green and blue stripes, similar to the famous Thistle Hotel kit from the early 1990’s – only this time with gold stripes down the sleeves and shorts.
As for the third kit, there have been strong rumours that it will be a maroon strip from head to toe.
There have been no leaked images of that one, but those rumours were backed up by Leicester being given a similar third strip in the past week by Adidas.
Either way, the three stripes automatically come with excitement, and if Cooper’s words are anything to go by, prepare yourself Leeds fans.
