Leeds United are still monitoring the situation of Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, according to the Daily Mail.
According to the newspaper, the Whites are still interested in the Argentine with an exit for Kiko Casilla still on the cards at Elland Road.
Illan Meslier has already completed his permanent switch to Leeds, and the arrival of the South American would add serious competition.
Arsenal are willing to let the Argentine leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, despite his impressive campaign under Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are reported to have wanted up to £20million for Martinez but are willing to drop that asking price.
Leeds would face competition from Valencia and Real Betis for the 27-year-old, but the presence of the keeper is said to give the Whites’ extra security in their defence.
Should Casilla remain at Elland Road this summer, there would be no need for Bielsa to bring in another keeper.
David Ornstein did report that Martinez is hoping that the Gunners will accept an offer below £10million if necessary, with no formal bids yet being placed.
For that type of money, it would be a bargain for a keeper who more than proved himself last season in all competitions.
Martinez shone in the absence of Bernd Leno and played a massive role in helping the Gunners lift the FA Cup.
The Whites would be making a massive mistake by keeping Casilla and throwing him into the spotlight next season, and Martinez could be the perfect replacement.
