Liam Cooper sends Illan Meslier three-word message after Leeds United 3-0 win v Millwall
Liam Cooper has sent Illan Meslier a three-word message after Leeds United defeated Millwall 3-0 on Sunday (17 September).
The Whites came out on top in the Championship clash at The Den, securing their second win of the new league campaign.
Centre-back Cooper was absent due to a foot injury, but goalkeeper Meslier played the entire match and kept a clean sheet.
Celebrating the victory on social media, Meslier posted on Instagram: “Big win today against Millwall! Congratulations to the team.”
And among those commenting on the post was the goalkeeper’s Leeds teammate Cooper, who wrote: “Different class mate!”

It was a big win for Leeds, and a big performance from their number one Meslier, who has now kept back-to-back clean sheets.
The shot-stopper also picked up a clean sheet in his club’s goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday earlier this month.
His displays between the sticks have helped Daniel Farke’s side increase their unbeaten league run to four matches, with the Whites firstly drawing with West Brom before defeating Ipswich Town.
The goals will be warmly welcomed by the man in the dugout, but so will the clean sheets, particularly given how the West Yorkshire club conceded seven times in their first four matches of the campaign.
Attackers Georginio Rutter and Joel Piroe have unsurprisingly stolen the headlines for their final-third contributions in the win against Millwall, but Meslier also impressed to keep the home side at bay at The Den.
The Whites will now look to continue their fine run when they travel to Hull City on Wednesday (20 September), once again in league action.
In other Leeds United news, one summer signing has immediately repaid the faith as his superb August Championship statistics emerge.
