Leeds want to sign Daniel Jebbison - report
Leeds United are closely watching Sheffield United forward Daniel Jebbison this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
Everton have made the first move for the striker, but saw a £5million bid with add-ons rejected by the Blades.
Jebbison was handed his shot in the Premier League by Paul Heckingbottom last season after Chris Wilder departed.
This could go down to the very wire.
What makes this one even trickier is the fact that numerous Football League clubs are also interested in a loan deal.
That may tickle the fancy of Sheffield United more, as they get to keep the attacking sensation who scored on his debut against Everton.
Aston Villa and Brentford are also among those interested as Jebbison could land anywhere in the final week of this window.
Competition.
There are so many clubs in the running, but Leeds are likely one of those who aren’t exactly crying out for this signing.
Jebbison has shown plenty of promise, but if he was that highly-rated, surely the Blades being relegated from the Premier League would hand him that chance in the Championship.
Sheffield United have had a nightmare start to this season and have only scored once, so leaving the young forward out makes no sense.
With Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood shining in the academy, there is simply no room, and we can’t imagine Victor Orta pushing hard for this one despite him watching intently.
Born in Canada, Jebbison came across to England in his teenage years and has caught the eye and now it could be time for his first major move.
