Leeds defender Robin Koch spotted jetting out of UK

Leeds United defender Robin Koch has been pictured jetting out of England on Monday morning.

The German international was an unexpected absence from the 2-2 draw against Everton on Saturday afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that Koch was out with an injury problem picked up in the build-up to that Elland Road clash.

A Leeds fan was on a bus heading towards a plane that was going to Germany this morning and posed for a picture with Koch.

Ubaid, as he is known on his personal Twitter account shared the image which led to many theories as to why he wasn’t at Thorp Arch.

“Robin Koch on my plane to Germany,” he wrote.

Ruled out.

Well, we can all assume that with only one game until the first international break of the season that Koch will be missing.

The German has been consistently called up over the past year, and will likely get that call again should he be given this week should he recover.

Bielsa has likely granted the request knowing that the defender will be missing against Burnley, although there is hope that Diego Llorente can feature.

With injuries already becoming a problem throughout the squad, the first international break could be a godsend for the Whites as we welcome Liverpool to Elland Road after that period.

Fingers crossed Koch and Llorente can be firing on all cylinders by the start of September, it is certainly needed.
