Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville outshines Erling Haaland in Premier League statistic

Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville is outshining and performing Erling Haaland with one of the Premier League’s best conversion rates according to WhoScored.

Summerville’s name has been getting screamed from the terraces in recent weeks with clinical finishes against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

The Dutch wonder currently ranks second in the Premier League for the 2022/2023 season so far for having the best conversion rate after his recent goal spree.

The 21-year-old ranks just behind Bournemouth’s Phillip Billing with a conversion rate of 38.5%, whilst Manchester City phenom Erling Haaland comes in fourth place with a 35.3% rating.

And whilst this will be music to the ears of the Whites fanbase, it’s no reason to get too carried away, Summerville has only started three games this season.

He may yet hit an infamous Patrick Bamford dry patch the more starts he gets.

History maker.

Summerville has clinched his moment in recent weeks to live up to the number 10 shirt void left by Brazilian Raphinha.

The 21-year-old became the youngest player in Leeds’ top-flight history to score goals in three successive fixtures with finishes against Fulham, Liverpool and Bournemouth.

The youngster now seems to have earned the trust of Jesse Marsch, who was reluctant to utilise the winger at the start of the campaign despite letting Daniel James leave on loan.

These are all positive signs for Summerville and Leeds moving forward, hopefully, Marsch continues to use him as an attacking weapon.

And he will if the encouraging numbers from the Dutchman continue.

Whilst he may not be able to keep them up to the high standards he’s set, he’s certainly shown the heights he can reach.

It’s likely more weight will be put on Summerville’s shoulders after recent outings, but his oozing quiet confidence highlights he can probably deal with it.

In other Leeds United news, a European club has confirmed they’ll be doing an official farewell for a player who’s been signed by the Whites.
