Tony Dorigo raves about Leeds winger Raphinha
Former Leeds United player Tony Dorigo has showered heaps of praise on Brazilian winger Raphinha.
Leeds returned to winning ways last week after beating Norwich 2-1 at Carrow Road. It was their second win of the season in the Premier League.
Raphinha scored the opening goal of the match in the second half with a dazzling solo effort. Norwich pulled one back immediately, but a long-range strike from Rodrigo sealed all three points for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The former Leeds hero has suggested that the Whites were once again “indebted” to Raphinha after his brilliant performance. Dorigo noticed that the Brazilian was “angry” and “frustrated” towards the end of the game.
“Once again we were indebted to Raphinha. I look at him and think he’s immune to pressure, he doesn’t know what it is. He just plays the same. You could imagine him playing on the beach the same way he does for the Brazilian national team,” wrote BT pundit Dorigo for The Yorkshire Evening Post.
“No matter what the situation is, he will get that ball, try and beat his man and produce something. You could see at the end he was angry, he was frustrated, he just lives and breathes playing football and winning. Fortunately for us, when we get him the ball in the right areas, things happen, it’s as simple as that, he makes things happen.”

Over reliant
This is becoming a recurrent theme for Leeds. Raphinha has been in outstanding form this season, but it’s time for others to step up as well.
It seems like Leeds wait for him to come up with moments of brilliance and do something spectacular every time. He is setting high standards for himself, and it is up to others to match that level.
Leeds have badly missed Patrick Bamford through injuries. The England international was the club’s top scorer last season, but he brings more to the table than just scoring goals.
His relentless energy and constant pressing add a different dimension to the side. Rodrigo has done well up front in his absence, and the goal against the Canaries will give him a lot of confidence.
Leeds will face Leicester in the Premier League clash on Sunday at Elland Road, and Bielsa will be looking to secure back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
