Leeds United will be due bonuses for Luis Sinisterra transfer on one condition
Leeds United will owe Feyenoord bonuses for Luis Sinisterra if they manage to avoid relegation, claims technical director Dennis te Kloese.
In an interview with the Athletic, the Feyenoord chief went on record to state that Leeds’ Premier League safety is beneficial for them.
However, the amount is not understood to be a lot and is more like a “drop in the ocean”.
Makes sense
Sinisterra was not a cheap signing by any stretch of the imagination and deals these days are done so that the clubs do not have to pay so much upfront.
There are instalments and amortised payments, but there are also certain clauses that get activated on the fulfilment of certain goals.

While the amount has not been revealed, it usually is something as small as five or six figures if Leeds manage to stay up.
There will also be certain performance based add-ons, but if they’re triggered it means that Sinisterra is playing well enough to be selected that often and Leeds will also make a lot of money by avoiding relegation.
The Premier League TV deal is the best in the world and nothing compares to the money clubs in the English top flight receive from it.
Leeds appear to be on course to avoiding relegation but things can change in a heartbeat so they cannot afford to be complacent about it.
In other Leeds United news, a manager has expressed disappointment at the failure to sign a first-team Leeds player in January.
