Leeds United want to sign PSG defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu

Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing Paris St. Germain defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu along with Fulham and Bayern Munich.

According to Jeunes Footeux [28 February], Bayer Leverkusen and RB Salzburg are also keen on signing the 17-year-old whose contract runs out in 2024.

He has already made seven first-team appearances for the Ligue 1 leaders this season and has been promoted to the senior side.

Worth considering

Standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall, Bitshiabu is an ideal Premier League defender who’ll slot into the Leeds backline perfectly.

He may be a teenager but plays with the maturity of someone in their early 20s and if he’s good enough to get minutes for PSG, there must be something special about him.

Whether or not PSG will be willing to do a deal remains to be seen, but they can always sell the player with a buy-back clause.

If he does do well at Leeds, they may end up losing him, but will make a significant profit from his sale and that’s not a bad thing at all.

He will address the centre-back woes as Robin Koch and Liam Cooper haven’t been great of late and Max Wober is still settling in.

Whether or not Pascal Struijk becomes a full-time left-back remains to be seen, but there’s no denying that they could with another centre-back in the summer.
