Leeds United are interested in a move for Manchester United defender Phil Jones this summer, according to MARCA on Thursday 16th June.
The Spanish outlet has reported their potential Premier League incomings table in the past 24 hours, with the Old Trafford outcast now said to be an option at Elland Road in a random twist.
Jesse Marsch has already strengthened his defence with the signing of Rasmus Kristensen and could make another move to reinforce the back four.
This would be a strange move.
MARCA have also shared that Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi could be the striker that Leeds are looking to for their issues in the final third.
Jones is one that many will question.
The 30-year-old only made four Premier League appearances in the 2021-22 season, with only two of those being starts due to his constant injury problems.

Victor Orta is hard at work looking at Europe’s best, there is simply no chance that Jones is on that list.
Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson are on the verge of being joined by Bayern Munich ace, so to even put some of those names on the list is basically embarrassing.
Jones is surely destined to retire after Old Trafford, with no real future after that available, we can’t imagine one team that would welcome him in.
You have to know when to pack it up when at the top, instead of trying to carry on and just going through multiple years of torment and that is where the 30-year-old is at right now.
Marsch has Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Pascal Struijk as his senior options right now, with Charlie Cresswell coming through the academy.
That is more than enough options, and another player certainly isn’t needed.
We expect more reinforcements in the final third and in midfield, certainly not this.
