Leeds United want ‘absolute stormer’ by Jack Harrison to seal £25m permanent sale

Graham Smyth believes Leeds United will be hoping that Jack Harrison has a great season at Everton so they can cash in on him next summer.

The winger returned to Goodison Park on another loan deal on Monday (24 June) after featuring there last season.

Speaking on the Inside Elland Road Podcast (26 June), Joe Donnohue suggested that he doesn’t see the 27-year-old playing for the Whites again.

This while Smyth added: “Ultimately, at some point, Leeds are going to have to cash in on him.

“So what Leeds are probably hoping is that he has an absolute stormer this season, finds consistency, stays fit, scores goals, gets assists and is worth £25million next summer.”

Jack Harrison leaves Leeds United for Everton

The Englishman had a loan clause entered into his contract which allowed him to depart on a loan deal if Leeds stayed in the Championship.

With that being said, he has taken the chance to return to Everton and play in the Premier League once again next season.

He came up through to the top division with the Whites under Marcelo Bielsa and featured heavily to some great campaigns at Elland Road.

It is frustrating that he has departed but with the opportunity to move away from the Championship, it isn’t a surprise.

If Leeds are promoted next season and he returns then Harrison may look to feature but there is going to be some reservations from fans.

But the someone Wilfried Gnonto has turned it around after trying to force a move away and being universally disliked by fans.

Brenden Aaronson is ready for an Elland Road this summer so there may still be a chance for a Harrison redemption.
