Leeds United transfer news as Filip Skorb completes successful visit
Talented teenage striker Filip Skorb has undergone a trial visit to Leeds United, with the Whites facing a battle with Rangers and Newcastle United for his signature, according to the Daily Record.
The report [20 March] reveals that the Portobello CFA Thistle “free-scoring” teen underwent a successful visit to Thorp Arch and is now facing further trials at Rangers and Newcastle United.
The Gers are reportedly keen on Skorb but face stiff competition from both Leeds and Newcastle having caught the eye at Portobello this season.

One for the future
The Whites already boat a plethora of talented young teens currently at the club and some even on loan and marking their intentions to sign Skorb certainly seems as if the club are looking to enforce and add to their decorated academy at Thorp Arch.
With Skorb already undergoing a successful visit to the West Yorkshire outfit, that may indicate that the club like what they see in the teenager, but ultimately it will be his decision as he still faces trials at Rangers and Newcastle.

It’s great to see that Thorp Arch still remains one of the growing and most decorated academies in the UK, and even if they don’t secure Skorb’s services in the near future, the Whites can certainly still boast about their abundance of talent currently at the club.
It is a recruitment policy that the club should certainly continue with in order to build a glowing and sustainable future. The signing of Diogo Monteiro in January certainly points to that fact and what a major coup it would be if they were to lure Skorb too.
In other Leeds United news, Chris Sutton hailed that it was “great telly” in the BT Sport studio as he watched the thrilling six-goal encounter at Molineux.
