Leeds to open contract talks with Stuart Dallas & Tyler Roberts after latest deal - Smyth

Leeds United are set to open contract talks with Stuart Dallas and Tyler Roberts at the end of the season, according to Graham Smyth.

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist has shared that Patrick Bamford’s new deal will be announced at the end of the season.

The Whites undergo their end-of-season contract review after these remaining three games in their brilliant return to the Premier League.

There is also an interesting suggestion that Kalvin Phillips could also be in line for a new contract at Elland Road to reflect his new status.

Despite missing out on promotion to the Premier League at the first hurdle, the Yorkshire Pirlo still signed a new long-term contract in the Championship.

It paid off in the end, and after cementing his spot in the England side, Phillips could earn a new deal to reward him for that.

No one will question Dallas being handed a new contract after his heroics this season.

The Northern Ireland international has been the Premier League’s best newcomer with ease after making the jump from the Championship.

As for Roberts, there may still be some question marks hanging around this decision.

The 22-year-old has started 14 games and come off the bench 10 times, but only has two assists to his name, something that will need to improve beyond this season.

Marcelo Bielsa will have been impressed by his performances recently, but there has to be more on show for Roberts to prove to us he is worth a new contract in West Yorkshire.
