Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been one of our standout players in the Premier League this season.

It has been reported by The Athletic that the forward has secretly put pen-to-paper on a new one year contract at Elland Road.

The FA updated their registration alongside Bamford's name midway through this season, although it has only just been reported why.

The Yorkshire Evening Post have shed more light on the situation this afternoon.

Graham Smyth has reported that Leeds are set to announce the new contract at the end of this season, with only three games remaining.

It is suggested that the Whites have secured the long-term future of Bamford as he enters his prime past his current deal which expired at the end of next season.

Brilliant news.

Not only will the Bamford deal be announced, but it was also reported that Stuart Dallas and Tyler Roberts could open talks to extend their deals.

This is a brilliant vote of confidence for those names that have helped us take the Premier League by storm after promotion from the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa has kept his trust and loyalty in the likes of Bamford and Dallas, and he has been repaid massively with this 50-point haul so far this season.

Bamford has been excellent and deserves the extension massively.

His 15 goals and seven assists are the most involvement he has had in one season in his career, and he has to be rewarded for that.

There is no need for any distractions before the season is over, and Bamford can get all the plaudits once this incredible campaign is finished at the end of the month.
