Leeds United to make eight-figure move for central midfielder with Phillips set for Manchester City
Leeds United will reportedly shell out eight figures in order to rope in a replacement for the Manchester City-bound Kalvin Phillips.
According to LeedsLive, they are highly likely to break the bank in order to sign a midfielder who will be a regular starter ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Athletic reported that Leeds and City had agreed on a fee of £42million to secure the services of the England international this summer.
Make it soon
One cannot fault Leeds’ transfer activity this summer as they have identified their targets early and made moves to sign them.

With Phillips, many of their plans will now be in jeopardy as many expected him to stay while Raphinha was the likelier option to leave.
However, it looks like there will be two major exits this summer at the very least and fresh blood will be need through the door if the Whites want to avoid another relegation battle.
This is the perfect time for Orta to start recommending midfielders he’s personally scouted over the past few years.
Thus far, all the players have had links to Jesse Marsch but they’re not the kind of players that would get fans excited or even have too much of a dressing-room presence.
In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano has shared if a ‘Sensational’ defensive midfielder has agreed terms for an Elland Road switch and become the club’s fourth summer signing.
