Leeds United to make desperate last attempt to sign Brenden Aaronson ahead of deadline – report
Leeds United are set to make one last desperate attempt to sign RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson on deadline day.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who report that the Whites will make that move in the last hours of the window.
AC Milan are also credited with an interest in the American international, with the competition really starting to heat up.
With only seven hours left in the window, it would take something extreme to get this one over the line.
Having said that, it has been made very clear just how desperate Leeds and Victor Orta are to get this one over the line.
Orta has already been in Austria this month trying to get a deal done to no success, as things stand.
Those trips led to £15million and £20million bids, both of which were turned down – with RB Salzburg keeping their players for the Champions League.
No chance.
We can’t see this happening.
Leeds appear to be happy to settle on what they have, with no senior signings being made throughout this window.
That’s despite the perilous situation we find ourselves in at this moment in time, with not much breathing space between us and the relegation spots.
Of course, Marcelo Bielsa will be confident that he will guide his side to safety, but anything is possible in the Premier League.
No one can disagree, though, this would have been the perfect signing this month, and a brilliant boost at a time where everyone needed one in West Yorkshire.
We doubt whether a last-gasp move will be even made, never mind it being accepted, it’s possibly already time to move on – for this window atleast.
