Leeds United to make £5million bid for Aberdeen talent Calvin Ramsay on deadline day – report
Leeds United are set to make a £5million bid for Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay on deadline day, according to the Press and Journal.
The newspaper has reported in their print edition (31 January) that the Whites are making a late push for the 18-year-old on Monday.
It is suggested that the bid will also include a clause to send Ramsay back to Aberdeen on loan for the rest of the season.

Leeds’ links to the new signings this month have, as always, gone into overdrive throughout January.
But, with no success as of yet in terms of senior arrivals so far, deadline day has been nothing but radio silence.
Ramsay is also heavily touted by Bologna, and it looks like a two-horse race for the signing before 11 pm this evening.

Get it done.
This wouldn’t be a signing to get fans out of their seats immediately.
Having said that, it would be a very good move by the Whites, who would be getting one of the brightest talents in Scotland.
This last-gasp bid will turn Aberdeen’s heads, of course, but it could be the clause to loan him back that could put us in the driving seat.
Looking at that, though, Leeds need plays who are going to make an immediate impact at Elland Raod, with a Premier League survival fight on the cards.
Cody Drameh has left on loan to join Cardiff, leaving the injury-prone Luke Ayling with no cover at right-back.
What would Ramsay rather do? Move to the Premier League with a strong chance of first-team minutes, or play each week in Scotland with no real chance of silverware?
That’s up to him to decide if this bid is accepted.
