Leeds United to firm up talks in next 48 hours for Calvin Ramsay, £5million offer coming - report

Leeds United are set to firm up talks to sign Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay in the next 48 hours, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper has reported on their website that the Scottish club are expecting a £5million from the Whites over the weekend.

It is suggested that Bologna’s failure to get a deal over the line opens the door for three Premier League sides.

Leicester City and Manchester United are also in the race and hold a strong interest in the right-back sensation.

Despite them being mentioned, the Daily Mail only mention Leeds when suggesting that the Dons are braced for offers.

Victor Orta was looking as though he was going to end the window disappointed, but this could change things.

Brenden Aaronson and Takumi Minamino have both been mentioned, but any moves for those look far less likely at this stage.

Expect anything.

Ramsay is a young full-back making big waves in Scotland, and it would be a brilliant signing to win the race for his signature.

Dons manager Stephen Glass has been speaking to the media in the past 24 hours and did admit that nothing was imminent regarding a move, with Leeds not even mentioned.

With movement expected over the weekend, though, that could all change very quickly at Pittodrie.

We all know how quickly things can change in the last days of a January transfer window, with clubs scrambling to get any deals over the line.

Ramsay is an interesting one, and it would certainly be one to watch with our options at full-back certainly limited at Elland Road.
