Leeds United target Viktor Gyokeres refuses to rule out summer transfer
Leeds United target and Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres has remained coy over his future when asked about it on international duty.
The Sweden international is linked with a move to Elland Road as well as West Ham and he said that he will be assessing the situation at the end of the season.
As of now, with the transfer window being shut, the 24-year-old who has 26 goals + assists in 36 league games this term, is focusing on matters on the pitch.

“These are just rumours. We’ll see what happens in the summer,” he told Fotbollskanalen.
“I try not to get any info about it right now. I want to focus on the matches. So, you have to take it then.
“There is no transfer window now. So, it feels a little unnecessary to put energy on it now.”
Not really needed
Leeds may have genuinely considered his services in January but now that ship has sailed and Gyokeres is unlikely to be a target at Elland Road in the summer.
There was a bit of a striker crisis at Leeds as Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo both were facing issues getting back to full fitness.
This saw the club break the transfer record for Georginio Rutter and that’s not yet materialised as many thought it would.

However, it will be naive to think that the Whites will abandon the process only to replace him with another striker.
He’s still only 20 and adapting to the Premier League from the Bundesliga is incredibly hard and a lot of players have struggled in the past.
Gyokeres may be a decent striker but if Leeds are going to be shelling out money on one, at least two first-team forwards will be on their way out in the summer.
In other Leeds United, the Whites are now in pole position to seal their first signing under Javi Gracia despite interest from a Premier League rival.
