Leeds United takeover valuation may rise to £500m

Aser, which has been founded by Andrea Radrizzani, have the option to void 49ers taking full ownership of Leeds United, according to Adam Pope.

The BBC journalist has claimed that due to the number of revenues involved, the deal could even become £500 million.

This is a staggering hike from the initial price mentioned, which was believed to be over £400 million.

He wrote, via his personal Twitter account, “I understand that due to a multiple of revenues that the price could become £500m or more depending on factors such as spend going forward, league status, etc.

“Option for Aser to void the deal too. 49ers & #lufc still working closely appears to be the message.”

Big news

49ers taking full ownership is a big deal itself, but the valuations mentioned are absolutely staggering.

The value of the club has increased tenfold in the last four years and the sky seems to be the limit if they manage to retain their status in the Premier League.

The second season was always going to be the toughest, so the board must now do whatever they can to strengthen this team in the January window.

Marcelo Bielsa deserves immense credit for this and it remains to be seen whether or not he stays beyond the end of the season.

The 49ers owners are unlikely to want a change at the helm, given his affinity with the city, fans and everyone at the club.

However, should he decide to call it quits after this season, then there may be a chance available to attract a world class manager with the experience of winning the biggest titles in Europe.

All this, hinges on Bielsa.
