Leeds United 'swoop' to mess up Milan's plans to sign Charles De Ketelaere
Leeds United are showing keen interest in Charles De Ketelaere and they could mess up AC Milan’s transfer plans, as reported by Tutto Mercato Web.
Italian journalist, Luca Marchetti, wrote on TMW on 23 June that the Whites have emerged as a serious challenger to sign the Club Brugge’s Belgium attacker.
Fabrizio Romano reported via his personal Twitter account on Wednesday 22 June that De Ketelaere is one of the players Leeds are considering as an option to replace Raphinha.
The youngster enjoyed a brilliant 2021-22 campaign where he scored 14 goals and provided seven assists in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.
He has got two years left on his current deal, and it remains to be seen if the Whites come up with a formal offer in the next few days. Based on the report from TMW, it seems like Leeds are serious about landing the young talent.
The Whites have made positive moves in the summer transfer window, having already secured as many as three signings.
If the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha departs, the club is expected to make even more additions to replenish their void.
De Ketelaere could be seen as a natural replacement for Raphinha, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road this summer.
The Brazilian wants to join Barcelona, but the Catalan giants are struggling to match Leeds’ asking price.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the hunt to sign the winger, while West Ham could reignite their interest as well [90 Min].
