Leeds United striker Georginio Rutter needed convincing by agent Roger Wittmann, missing Hoffenheim teammates already
Leeds United striker Georginio Rutter reportedly was convinced by agent Roger Wittmann to move to Elland Road in January.
According to Kicker [7 March], Wittmann jetted to the training camp in Portugal to convince the Frenchman to seal the move against his wishes as it was bringing in a lot of money to the German club.
It has been revealed that the 20-year-old is missing his old teammates at Hoffenheim as he left against his wishes.
Regrets already?
If Rutter does not have his head fully at Leeds, there’s no chance he’s going to be a success at the club as he’s got to be hundred per cent focused on the task.
He may not be Javi Gracia’s signing, but certain responsibilities come with being a club record signing and he’s got to live up to them.
It may take him time, but if he’s not got the right attitude, Gracia is well within his rights to not play him as there are hungrier players at the club.
They may not be as talented, but during matchdays, they put in tireless shifts from start to end and that’s what wins the fans and managers over.
He’s got a deal at Leeds until 2028, which is probably the longest anyone has at the club currently so it’s pretty clear he’s here for the long term.
Victor Orta put his eggs in this basket and now it’s on Rutter to show he’s worth it or it’s going to be a bad look for the rest of the squad.
