Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips to star on Channel 4’s Gogglebox tonight
Leeds United and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips will grace our television screens on Channel 4’s Gogglebox tonight (Friday).
Celebrities will be appearing on Gogglebox in aid of Stand Up 2 Cancer and Phillips, 25, will be on the show from 7:30pm alongside rapper Aitch.
Phillips confirmed the news via his personal Twitter account.
All for a great cause
It says a lot about Phillips that not only has he been chosen to take part in Celebrity Gogglebox but also that he’s willing to.
The Leeds midfielder is likely to have an extremely busy schedule at the moment due to his commitments to his club and to England.
However, he’s still found time to take part in this and help raise money for a very worthy cause.
Phillips is fast becoming a household name in England.
The 25-year-old starred for the Three Lions at the European Championships and was arguably Gareth Southgate’s best player as we made the final.
Phillips also played a major role for Leeds last season as we finished ninth in the Premier League and he’s bound to be vital this term too.
We’re proud of Phillips.
Not only is he a very good footballer but he’s also an exemplary young man and a terrific role model for the youngsters.
In other Leeds United news, Jeff Stelling has predicted Leeds’ clash with Southampton this weekend.
