Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips suffers head injury

Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips suffered a head injury on a night out in London on Sunday.

The Telegraph report that the 25-year-old hit his head while he was out partying with teammates after the Tottenham Hotspur match and had to be assessed by doctors on Monday.

However, the doctors concluded that he was fine and he took part in training today and should be fit to face Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.

Due to the club’s ridiculous run of fixtures over the festive period, this was the players’ only chance to socialise, and it seems as if Phillips might have overdone it.

Relief for Leeds.

The last thing that the Whites would have needed would be another injury, so it is good to see that Phillips is fine and was involved in training.

Head injuries are always tricky, and doctors have to check for signs of concussion.

If players are concussed, they have to sit out for a period of time, so it is good to see that Phillips is probably fine.

Leeds already have plenty of injury problems, so the last thing they would have wanted would have been yet another injury.

We would hope that the doctors were thorough in their checks and that they haven’t decided to cut any corners just because of how important Phillips is to the Whites.

If they have been thorough, then it looks as if a slight injury scare for Leeds has proved to be nothing, and you would hope to see Phillips on Saturday.

In other Leeds United news, AC Milan are lining up a big move for one Whites star.
