Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips may undergo surgery on shoulder injury during hamstring rehabilitation
Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips could be sent for surgery on his shoulder problem over the Christmas period.
The Yorkshire Pirlo is currently set for a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem picked up in the draw against Brentford (5th December).
Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that surgery on a long-lasting shoulder problem could take place if the recovery would be less than his rehabilitation for the hamstring injury.

David Anderson of the Mirror has shared the latest on his personal Twitter account as Phillips could be set to go under the knife.
“Bielsa says he may consider letting Kalvin Phillips have surgery on his shoulder while he is out injured if his rehab is longer than the time it would take to recover from an operation,” he said.
Long time coming.
If surgery has already been contemplated, the early signs of this hamstring injury surely aren’t good.
Phillips injured his shoulder twice throughout last season and it almost cost him his place with England at the European Championships.
That surgery would have happened over the summer if it wasn’t for that, and it looks as though it could happen now.
Based on this, it would be easy to assume we won’t be seeing the Yorkshire Pirlo until 2022 now, and that is a huge blow.
If he could come back with his shoulder mended, as well as his hamstring, it could be a big positive moving forward towards the end of the season.
Let’s just hope we don’t suffer too much before that.
