Leeds United spirit a 'huge positive' after 'wonderful' comeback win - BT Sport pundit

Leeds United had to fight incredibly hard to beat Bournemouth in their latest Premier League game and Tony Dorigo was hugely impressed.

The Whites came from 3-1 down at Elland Road to win 4-3 courtesy of a Crysencio Summerville winner for the second game running after his heroics at Liverpool.

Dorigo, a former Leeds player, was astounded to see the club’s dramatic comeback against the Cherries and highlighted the never-say-die spirit as a major positive.

“It’s very clear that we have got one hell of a strong group here at Leeds United and that the spirit in amongst it all is wonderful,” the BT Sport pundit said in his Yorkshire Evening Post.

“That, for me, is a huge positive, not that I thought any different. But the opposite side is that you can’t keep doing that same kind of stuff and you can’t keep playing like we did against Bournemouth.

“There was some wonderful stuff from Leeds during Saturday’s 4-3 victory but my goodness there was some awful stuff in there as well.”

Magnificent Marsch

Results might have been patchy all season but there can be no denying that a team in the model of Jesse Marsch never gives in and always has a chance to get a result no matter who the opponent or situation.

In a game as chaotic as football, especially in the Premier League, that is sometimes all a team needs to get over the line and make the dramatic comeback that the Whites have started to become very good at.

The entire squad has bought into what Marsch wants to do with Leeds United and are willing to put their bodies on the line to reach their objectives.

That fighting spirit is what embodies not only the football club but the entire city of Leeds and as long as the manager can get that out of each and every player, results will come.

Dorigo is right to suggest the severity of the positive because without that bouncebackability, things could look extremely different at Thorp Arch right now.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could soon receive an offer worth double what they paid for this sensation in the summer.
