Leeds United sources: It is impossible to accept £34.3million for Raphinha – Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has shared the response of Leeds United as Barcelona try and lowball their way to an agreement for Raphinha this summer.
The reliable journalist has insisted that the Whites believe it is “impossible” to sell the Brazilian for only €40million [£34.3m] after staying in the Premier League.
Arsenal are now said to be in direct contact over a potential deal for Raphinha, with the competition driving the price up to around €75million [£64.3m].

Speaking in his latest YouTube video, Romano responded to the ongoing saga currently taking place over the Brazilian.
“This one is a really crazy deal,” he said.
“End of February, beginning of March, Deco the agent of Raphinha, really close to Joan Laporta Barcelona president. He reached an agreement with Barcelona on personal terms, so Raphinha has an agreement.
“Leeds are super happy, of course with staying in the Premier League, but also with Raphinha’s value because now they are not going to accept €40million. When they see rumours about €40million for Raphinha, they say it’s absolutely impossible to sell for that fee for a fantastic player.”

Smart.
Leeds hold all of the cards, now.
Barcelona knew that it would take the Whites being relegated in order to get a deal over the line with the cheap release clause in his contract.
That didn’t happen though, and instead, they are now scrambling to find an agreement after jumping the gun and clearly making too many promises to the player.
Deco is to blame too, his role in this saga has been embarrassing, and it is clear now that he is trying to make all of this right as Raphinha goes away on holiday.
The longer this goes on, the more money Leeds are going to get this summer with a bidding war clearly coming our way.
Jesse Marsch isn’t sitting around and waiting with Victor Orta either, they are getting their own business done and will be ready to move for a replacement should an exit finally happen.
Impossible is the perfect way to describe that.
