Leeds United sound out agents, Elland Road exits imminent
Leeds United have sounded a number of agents over some of the current first team leaving Elland Road in the coming weeks, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The West Yorkshire side are currently at a standstill with the ownership situation far from clear.
Andrea Radrizzani has been busy trying to complete a takeover of Sampdoria, which reportedly saw him attempt to use Elland Road as collateral in his bid to rescue the Serie B club (The Athletic, 1 June).
However, it appears work is going on behind the scenes at Elland Road, with the YEP reporting on 2 June that agents have been sounded out on “some potential goodbyes”.
Needed
Work simply has to take place behind the scenes whilst the chaos at the top of the club ensues. If Leeds simply wait until the 49er/Radrizzani saga is over, their hopes of an immediate return to the Premier League could disipate. The Championship is one of the hardest leagues to get out of and next year, it will be back to its brutal best.

If Leeds fail to find a resolution on the managerial front in the coming weeks, promotion will become a pipe-dream. The new boss needs to come in, clear out the squad, make a number of new signings and impliment a winning brand of football – good luck to whoever it is. They will need it.
Radrizzani has only himself to blame. His poor decision making over the past year has led to the club’s current demise. His faith in Victor Orta was blind and based purely off of the success of Marcelo Bielsa. The sporting director’s influence has seen significant money spent on players and managers who are not up to the standard required.
In other Leeds United news, the future of one Whites-linked manager is now up in the air after a high-level resignation at his current club.
