Leeds United set to miss out on Nahitan Nandez
Leeds United “never presented a concrete offer” for Nahitan Nandez despite the “player’s entourage” preferring a move to the Premier League, according to a report from centotrentuno.
The Italian news outlet claims that the Whites decided that Nandez’s release clause of 36million Euros [£30.9million] was something that they did “not want to face”, and it looks as if finally this saga is over.
Cagliari are now in talks with Inter Milan about a potential loan and swap deal that would see the 25-year-old Uruguayan move to the Serie A champions rather than Elland Road [Fabrizio Romano]. Nandez has been heavily linked with the Whites for a long time, but it looks as if this deal is now finally dead.

Finally!
This has been a long transfer saga, and it had the potential to turn into another Rodrigo De Paul scenario, but it appears as if it hasn’t, which is good for Leeds fans.
Ultimately, it seems as if Leeds decided that smashing their transfer record for another central midfield player made little sense, and it is hard not to agree with them.
The Whites do have quite limited options in the centre of the park, but Stuart Dallas found himself there quite a lot last season and excelled, so perhaps Leeds would be better off spending most of their money on a different position.

Nandez is a good player, but there is no way he was worth the Whites spending over £30million on, and it is good that he looks to be going to Inter, so we can finally put to bed this transfer saga.
Of course, we will have to see if Leeds decide to strengthen the central midfield area, but it is good that we can stop talking about Nandez potentially moving to Elland Road.
