Leeds United set to battle AC Milan and West Ham United for Noa Lang transfer, alternates ready

Leeds United are set to battle West Ham United to sign Club Brugge star Noa Lang this summer, according to Mike McGrath.

The Telegraph journalist has reported that AC Milan are also interested, with the Whites facing an uphill battle against two sides who can both offer European football.

Rabbi Matondon is said to be among the alternate options after his impressive season away on loan with Cercle Brugge also in Belgium in 2021-22.

Writing on his personal Twitter account on Monday [20 June], McGrath shared the latest transfer update with attackers now being targeted at Elland Road.

“In attack, Leeds are long-term admirers of Club Brugge’s Noa Lang but face competition from AC Milan and West Ham who can both offer European football,” he wrote.

“Rabbi Matondo is among alternative options following his season with Cercle Brugge.”

Get it done.

We have seen plenty of times already that having European football means little to nothing for players when Leeds are in the picture.

It was heavily reported that Rasmus Kristensen was on the verge of signing for Borussia Dortmund before the Whites came knocking, and Victor Orta made that change very quickly.

Lang will have been aware of Leeds’ interest for more than a year now, with Marcelo Bielsa also said to be a fan, but he did have concerns regarding his defensive ability.

Even with Jesse Marsch now in charge, it looks as though Leeds are still in the race, with the American looking as though he is on board with a potential deal.

Matondo is among alternate options too, meaning there is likely more than one name on the list as Orta gets set to work once again and strengthen that final third.

We already can’t wait for the next development – get it done.
