Leeds United set for Premier League transfer war to sign unnamed Midlands sensation – Graham Smyth
Leeds United are looking at an unnamed forward sensation currently playing in the midlands, according to Graham Smyth on Thursday [02 June].
The Yorkshire Evening Post has shared that a number of Premier League clubs are looking at the 16-year-old, with a potential transfer war on the cards this summer.
Leeds are once again expected to be busy for under-23 signings, with George Hall at Birmingham one of their “top targets” as things stand at Elland Road.

Writing in his latest column for the Yorkshire Evening Post on Thursday evening [02 June], Smyth shared the latest update on under-23s recruitment.
“At Under 23 level there could also be several new faces during the window,” he wrote.
“Birmingham midfielder George Hall is one of the top targets and the YEP understands a 16-year-old forward plying his trade in the Midlands has been looked at, although they will face opposition from a number of other Premier League clubs for his signature.”

Success.
Leeds have enjoyed immense success with sensations arriving from other clubs in recent years, with the final third having the most evidence of that.
Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood arrived after our promotion to the Premier League, and both started in our relegation-saving win over Brentford in the 2021-22 season.
Mateo Joseph Fernandez arrived in January to cover their moves to the first team, but it looks as though more signings are needed in the final third.
With the unnamed sensation coming from the midlands and being targeted by numerous Premier League clubs, it could be from Birmingham or West Brom – with the step up to the top-flight a real sweetener.
Leeds have a better track record than nearly everyone in the Premier League, something else that will put them in a good place if this war really gets going and heats up.
Victor Orta has already started making moves for the first team, and now it looks as though the yearly academy refresh is about to get underway.
This is one to watch.
