Leeds United scout watches Viktor Gyokeres as transfer news emerges
Leeds United watched Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres on Tuesday 28 February at Deepdale as the Sky Blues drew 0-0 with Preston North End, according to Scouts in Attendance.
The online source shared the news on Thursday 2 March as Premier League rivals Everton also in attendance as they were probably watching the Swedish talisman too.
TEAMtalk reported on 21 February that Leeds want to sign Gyokeres for next season, regardless of whether or not Javi Gracia remains in charge at Elland Road.
Writing on their official Twitter account, followed by the likes of Paul Joyce, shared the news after documents were shared from Deepdale in the last 24 hours.
“Leeds scout saw Viktor Gyokeres draw a blank in Preston 0-0, Coventry, on Tuesday night, Everton also probably watching him,” they wrote.

The race for Gyokeres is certainly getting hotter now.
15 goals in the Championship and an extra strike in the FA Cup makes him one of the deadliest strikers throughout the football pyramid in England, something Leeds have been craving.
Rodrigo isn’t exactly a direct number nine, but he was finding the back of the net with ease before his injury, with Patrick Bamford not getting anywhere near his numbers or performances.
Gyokeres is destined for the Premier League one way or another, but he is also very proven in the Championship should the dreaded relegation happen.
Of course, we don’t believe that will happen or want it to happen, but having those contingency plans in place may make the return to the promised land that much easier.
As things stand though, all eyes are on Gracia and his team beating the drop and finally pushing their way into a side that fight for top 10 finishes, rather than to survive.
This is certainly one to watch.
In other Leeds United news, the club may now face a losing battle to keep their star player at Elland Road beyond the summer transfer window.
