Leeds United will be in no rush to sell players by 30 June due to Red Bull's investment at Elland Road, according to Beren Cross.

The Leeds Live journalist reported [21 June] that the initial boost from Red Bull's minority share will mean that Leeds will not have to face the same rush as many other clubs to balance the books.

While it is understood that the Whites will still need to sell players during the summer transfer window, Red Bull's investment could mean that one fewer big name leaves the club.

Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter, Wilfried Gnonto and Archie Gray have all been heavily linked with exits this summer, though it is now unlikely that any leave before the 30 June deadline.

Leeds United under less pressure to sell star players at Elland Road

Having missed out on promotion to the Premier League this season, it is no surprise to see Daniel Farke's most important players being linked with moves upwards or to Europe.

However, Red Bull's involvement will help Leeds keep their cards close to their chest this summer, especially when it comes to selling players.

It was understood, as per The Daily Mail [16 May], that without promotion, the club would need to raise upwards of £100million in player sales, but this figure has been heavily debated.

Now, with new funds being invested into Elland Road, the hope is that only a few of the bigger names will be seen leaving the club this summer, rather than a whole exodus ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Either way, Farke will still be expected to secure promotion at the second time of asking, mainly due to his previous experiences with Norwich City in the division. With a couple of stars in his arsenal, this task should be much easier.
