Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz is reportedly set to move to UD Ibiza on a season-long loan ahead of the transfer deadline.

According to Polish media outlet Sportowe Fakty, there was interest from two other clubs in Spain’s second division as well as from sides in Poland, including Lech Poznan, Legia Warszawa and Slask Wroclaw to sign the 21-year-old.

However, after a loan spell in Ibiza last season, it seems that the up and coming Polish attacking midfielder will not return to his home country and instead continue his journey in Spain.

Good move

The fact that he’s being loaned and not sold suggests that the club do envisage a future for him at Elland Road and will make a decision after looking at him playing senior football for another year.

He’s had two loan spells thus far and is now set for his third despite making his senior debut for the Whites back in 2019 against Stoke City.

He has been a player in demand this season despite his recent injury issues and that only goes to show the sort of talent he is and will only get better with time.

Hopefully, he has better luck with injuries this season as we’re excited to see whether or not he can better his 2021/22 performances.

Bogusz is a terrific attacking midfielder who’s got a wide range of skills in his locker including playing line-breaking passes and finding the back of the net.

It’s fair to say that Jesse Marsch and co will be keeping tabs on him and will have been pivotal in greenlighting his temporary Elland Road exit.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could make a final push for an international striker after he was left out of his side’s matchday squad last weekend.
