Leeds United publish Companies House document to update ownership

Leeds United have published confirmation on Companies House that Andrea Radrizzani now holds less than 75 per cent of the shareholding in the club.

BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope shared the update on his personal Twitter account on Monday.

Pope added that 49ers Enterprises now own around 36.5 per cent of the Premier League club in a move that was first confirmed back in January.

Confirmation

What Pope has shared on Companies House is merely a confirmation of the “new control” over the ownership of Leeds United.

While it’s nothing new, it just shows that Leeds have updated their records.

It will be interesting to see what the extra investment from the 49ers does to help the Whites in the transfer window this summer.

After winning promotion from the Championship, Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta were about to spend around £100million on new players and converting loan deals into permanent ones.

We expect that Jack Harrison’s three-year loan stay at Elland Road will finally be made into a permanent deal while Leeds do need extra cover in other positions.

With Ezgjan Alioski likely to move on when his contract expires, a new left-back is a must while extra bodies in the centre of the midfield and possibly a new striker wouldn’t go amiss either.

Leeds have come such a long way under Radrizzani and we have full faith his partnership with the 49ers will only help him achieve his target of taking the Whites back to Europe.
