Jake Humphrey shares huge news on what he's heard about Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds United

Leeds United are ready to continue into next season with Marcelo Bielsa as managed with the Whites “100 per cent” confident he’ll stay.

That’s according to BT Sport host Jake Humphrey, who was at Elland Road on Saturday for BT’s coverage of Leeds’ Premier League fixture against Tottenham.

Bielsa’s existing deal at Leeds expires in the summer but Humphrey is hearing news out of the Yorkshire club that the Argentine will be staying.

“The word out of Leeds is that they have been, and continue to prepare for next season with Bielsa,” said Humphrey via his personal Twitter account on Saturday.

They remain confident he’s 100 per cent committed to the club.”

If there’s one man we cannot afford to lose over the summer it’s Bielsa.

He’s the best manager we’ve had in a very long time, taking the Whites from mid-table mediocrity in the Championship and back into the Premier League.

While the Whites are set for a mid-table finish, the club has still exceeded expectations as any newly-promoted side is always going to be in the relegation mix – especially after such a long spell outside of the Premier League.

Bielsa is a club legend, we don’t think there are any two-ways about it.

Andrea Radrizzani and Victor Orta need massive credit for hiring him in the first place, backing him in the transfer market and continuing to keep him year after year.

Bielsa only ever signs one year at a time in terms of his contract.

It would be nice if he was to sign a two-year deal for once just so we can forget about this circus that comes about every year.
