Leeds United predicted XI v Liverpool: Luke Ayling among four changes in Premier League clash

Javi Gracia needs to make wholesale changes as he would want to get Leeds United back among the points when they take on Liverpool at Elland Road on 17 April.

The Whites suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace and anything less than three changes will be unacceptable as some of the players were woeful in that game.

Looking at recent form and the injury situation, four changes are what Gracia is expected to make in order to get his side competitive again.

The first one is something Leeds fans have been calling for and that is at right-back.

Despite being a fan favourite, Luke Ayling’s performances have been highly inconsistent and his defensive awareness along with his failure to be a rock at the back has cost the Whites plenty of points.

Rasmus Kristensen is expected to come in for him as he has been doing well coming off the bench and has earned a starting spot.

While Junior Firpo has been decent lately, putting him against Mo Salah will be dangerous and Gracia may go for the more defensive option.

Max Wober is expected to be fit by then and he should come in place of Firpo or he could tuck in as a centre-back with Pascal Struijk moving to left-back.

Brenden Aaronson also has not been overly impressive and he does not offer much of a goal threat even though he works hard off the ball.

Playing Rodrigo gives the Whites that extra goal-scoring option and having played as a number eight under Marcelo Bielsa, he’s capable of dropping deep without the ball if needed as well.

Leeds will need trickery and the player who can give Trent Alexander Arnold some nightmares and that’s why starting Willy Gnonto makes a lot of sense.

The Italian has good close control and the ability to take on defenders for fun so it will be interesting to watch that battle.
