Leeds United player reacts to Jude Bellingham heroics for England

Leeds United academy midfielder Morten Spencer has delivered a message to Jude Bellingham after his heroics for England against Serbia.

Spencer left several fire emojis on Bellingham’s Instagram post of his celebration following his winner in the 1-0 victory on Sunday 16 June.

Unfortunately for Spencer, he will be released at the end of June as he looks to take the next step in his career away from Elland Road [Leeds United].

Leeds United academy looking to produce next Bellingham

A highly-rated youngster who moved from Sunderland to Leeds in 2019, now 20-year-old Spencer unfortunately hasn’t hit the heights during his time at Elland Road and will exit in just a few weeks’ time.

The Thorp Arch Academy is famed for its production line of top-class players, with England internationals aplenty having been produced in recent years.

Several of these, like James Milner and Fabian Delph, left when the club was in dire straits to realise their potential, but the rise of Kalvin Phillips to England stardom in 2021 showed that Leeds are still capable of helping players reach the highest level.

Spencer may have been unable to do so in his fledgling career so far, but Archie Gray winning the Championship’s Young Player of the Year award suggested he could go to the very top [Justin Allen].

Brand-new Wales international Charlie Crew, yet to make his first-team debut at Elland Road, is another tipped for big things in the coming years, with Bellingham, as he proved against Serbia, the standard-bearer for every young player currently on the rise in the game [X].

In other Leeds United news, the club have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of one player.
