Leeds player posts Instagram video at Thorp Arch despite recent closures

Leeds United defender Barry Douglas has posted a video on his personal Instagram account live from Thorp Arch despite recent closures.

The Whites' training ground was closed because of the recent coronavirus pandemic with all players being forced to remain at home.

The EFL has confirmed that football won't return until the end of April, with training not expected to be sanctioned until the 3rd.

Douglas went out for a jog on Saturday and shared the video on his personal Instagram account of an empty-looking Thorp Arch with no other person in sight at the training complex.

A number of the Leeds squad have been sharing their fitness routines on their social media accounts, although Douglas appears to be the first one who has left the comforts of his own home.

The Leeds staff have sent equipment to the home of each player over the past week including exercise bikes, bands and free weights to help them keep up their fitness levels without any training sessions.

A number of Leeds players could use this break to return, and Saturday also saw Adam Forshaw post a great update.

The midfielder has been out since September with a hip injury, and finally underwent surgery recently, but was spotted on the exercise bike as the possibility of him returning this season grows higher.

This break may not be the best in terms of momentum for the Whites, but it appears that Douglas is making the most of it to keep up his fitness.
