Phil Hay shares if he’s heard ‘whispers’ about Leeds making January signings
Phil Hay has shared if he has heard “whispers” from Leeds United ahead of the upcoming January transfer window.
The reliable journalist has insisted that things remain quiet from the club, despite numerous links already surfacing.
Hay believes that the Whites will need more shareholder investment to complete “substantial” deals next month.

Writing in his latest Q&A for The Athletic, Hay believes that Marcelo Bielsa isn’t really looking to add fresh faces at Elland Road.
“Not really at this stage,” he said.
“There’ll be two big factors in January – budget because the club would probably need more shareholder investment to do substantial deals and also whether Bielsa actually wants anyone.
“He’s been given the impression recently that he really isn’t looking for signings – but I’ve felt increasingly that finding a bit of cover would be sensible.”

Not happening.
The 49ers Enterprises’ have already increased their stake in the club in the past couple of months, so that isn’t going to happen again before January.
Paraag Marathe heads that investment, and he, backed by the 49ers, will eventually become majority shareholders.
Based on this though, it appears as though Andrea Radrizzani has pumped what he can into the club without help, anything significant anyway.
If he was as serious as he says he was about European football, surely he would be improving this squad at every opportunity?
Given our struggles so far, which would slightly disappear with another win over Brentford, new faces would certainly help.
Time will tell, but there wouldn’t be many at Elland Road who would say no to more signings next month.
