Leeds United personal terms to be ‘sizeable’ for Callum O’Hara amid Coventry City update
Joe Donnohue has urged Leeds United to not sign Callum O’Hare on a free transfer this summer after his Coventry City contract ended.
A report from TEAMtalk (13 June) suggested that the Whites were set to go head-to-head with Southampton and Burnley to sign the Englishman.
Speaking on the Inside Elland Road Podcast (26 June), Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Donnohue has shared his reservations over the potential signing.
He said: “I’m not sold on O’Hare personally. I just don’t see him being a Premier League player and Leeds ultimately want their aspirations to be a Premier League club.
“If they want him as a free agent they will have to commit a sizable amount to persuade him. If he’s not going to be really effective in the Premier League then why burden yourself with an asset you’ll have to spend millions of pounds on.”
Leeds United could sign Callum O’Hare
With the attacking midfielder out of contract with Coventry City this summer there is plenty of interest in his signature.
He is set to become a free agent at the end of June and will assess his options before signing a pre-contract with a club.
Although the financial situation at Elland Road isn’t as dangerous as first thought, some stars may still look to depart during the transfer window.
Crysencio Summerville has been linked with a move away to Brighton (17 June) [Fabrizio Romano] but nothing has materialised since the window opened.
Someone like O’Hare could prove to be a useful addition to Daniel Farke’s squad for next season if some sales do go through.

Although Donnohue isn’t sold on the 26-year-old as a potential signing for Leeds due to the demands that he could ask for.
The Whites could go far worse than signing the attacking midfielder who has plenty of Championship experience.
