Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani slammed for ‘blatant disregard’ of club after Elland Road development
Beren Cross has insisted that Leeds United fans will “never forgive” owner Andrea Radrizzani after he offered to put up Elland Road as collateral to secure a loan for his Sampdoria takeover.
According to The Athletic (1 June), Radrizzani did not notify Leeds chiefs or 49ers Enterprises before making the decision.
He announced a deal to buy the Italian club on Tuesday (30 May), with an agreement to sell his 56% share in his current club still not yet secured.

“There can be no way back for Radrizzani as a present, hands-on owner in Leeds,” Cross wrote for Leeds Live. “Supporters will never forgive or forget this blatant disregard for their heritage and heart, especially when added to the list of problems they already saw.
“The relationship with the supporters is over. His business relationship with the board is damaged. His foot is in the door at Sampdoria. There is a summer ahead and both clubs desperately need to reset their fortunes.”

More Elland Road drama
Leeds fans perhaps thought all of the drama at Elland Road would have ended on the final day of the season when the Whites lost 4-1 at home to Tottenham.
But of course, there is another twist to this ongoing tale in West Yorkshire, with Radrizzani definitely taking things too far this time.
On what planet did the Italian think that this would be a smart plan? He has now completely destroyed the already-fractured relationships he had with his fellow executives and of course Leeds fans with his latest decision.
Nobody is sure what will happen next, but surely 49ers Enterprises must step in and take control of things.
Relegation to the Championship has, of course, made everything that bit more difficult, with Leeds fans really in the dark now about which direction their beloved club is heading.
The best outcome is undoubtedly for Radrizzani to move on as soon as possible, with the Whites executive clearly set on making a switch to Sampdoria.
In other Leeds United news, the future of one Whites-linked manager is now up in the air after a high-level resignation at his current club.
