Leeds United not in talks for Noa Lang or Matheus Cunha

Leeds United are not in talks with the clubs or agents of Noa Lang and Matheus Cunha this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Sky Sports Italy journalist has claimed that the Whites were interested in Lang weeks ago, but are no longer looking to pursue his signature while Cunha is on the list of Atletico Madrid.

He believes that Leeds are looking to sign different players before the window shuts on August 31.

Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “Leeds are currently not in talks to sign Noa Lang from Club Brugge or Matheus Cunha from Hertha – not even with their agents.

“Noa Lang had interest from Leeds weeks ago, not now. Cunha is on Atletico’s list as a new striker. Leeds are looking for different signings.”

Puts an end to speculation

It’s been an underwhelming summer for us thus far with Junior Firpo the only new signing who strengthens our playing eleven.

This could also mean that we’ve got good players in all areas of the pitch after spending extravagantly 12 months ago, but reinforcements are still needed and last weekend’s drubbing at the hands of Manchester United shows that we’re in dire need of fresh blood.

Lang and Cunha looked doubtful from the offset and with Romano now saying it, we should probably stop waited with bated breath for any update on the two of them, especially how certain media outlets have had a field day spreading bizarre news about them.

A few days ago, Voetbal Belgie reported that we were still in talks with Brugge for Lang over a transfer fee but personal terms had been agreed with the 22-year-old.

Turns out they may have got that one absolutely wrong and with little over a week to go before the window shuts, we’re still uncertain as to who’s going to walk through the door this summer.
